The customized multi-tower linked intelligent three-dimensional sheet storage system is a modular fully automatic three-dimensional warehousing system developed by Jinan Wanka Technology Co., Ltd. to meet the storage needs of large-scale, multi-variety, ultra-long and ultra-wide heavy metal sheets. It is not a single device, but a set of warehousing solutions that can be flexibly combined according to the customer's site, sheet specifications, and production capacity requirements - supporting single-tower, double-tower, triple-tower and multi-tower linked layouts. The number of towers, layers, height, and load capacity can all be customized as needed, and it is suitable for various metal sheets with the longest length of 12000mm and the widest width of 2500mm.
In the traditional sheet metal processing mode, the storage of extremely long and wide plates has always been a major challenge. Plates measuring 6000×2000mm or even longer can only be laid flat on the ground. This not only occupies a large amount of workshop space but also requires moving the upper layers of plates to access the lower layers, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to causing plate deformation and surface scratches. According to data, for storing 10 tons of plates, the traditional stacking method requires approximately 15 square meters, while using a tower-type vertical storage system only requires about 3 square meters.
The emergence of the multi-tower intelligent three-dimensional sheet storage system has completely solved this problem - it stores the sheets "three-dimensionally" on the ground, converting the flat floor space into vertical three-dimensional storage, and maximizing the storage density through multi-tower arrangement. This equipment consists of multiple sets of material tower bodies, lifting columns, double-row chain drive mechanisms, material trays, intelligent scheduling systems, and safety protection facilities. It adopts a modular design, facilitating on-site installation and later layout adjustments. A single tower can operate independently, and multiple towers can be arranged in a row to work collaboratively. It can automatically store and retrieve sheets, automatically position, automatically discharge, and automatically return to the storage area, without the need for manual intervention. The equipment supports connection with systems such as MES, ERP, and WMS, enabling inventory visualization, automatic inventory checking, data traceability, and can be linked with laser cutting machines, shearing machines, bending machines, etc., to achieve integrated material supply for the production line.
The core value of this equipment lies in addressing the four major pain points of large-scale sheet material processing enterprises: Firstly, the "space bottleneck" - multi-tower parallel arrangement increases the storage density by more than four times; Secondly, the "efficiency bottleneck" - the fully automated inbound and outbound process significantly shortens the material retrieval time; Thirdly, the "quality pain point" - each layer of sheet materials is stored independently, completely eliminating the risks of stacking deformation and surface scratches; Fourthly, the "management pain point" - the intelligent inventory management system enables real-time visibility and precise control of inventory data.

Customized Modular Sheet Metal Storage involves multiple risk factors such as heavy plate lifting, coordinated movement of multiple tower lifting mechanisms, and chain transmission. All operators, maintenance personnel, and managers must strictly adhere to the following safety guidelines:
Only personnel who have received training from Wanka Technology or its authorized party and passed the assessment are allowed to operate this equipment. Operators must be familiar with the structure, performance, operation procedures, emergency stop operation, and emergency handling methods of the equipment. Personnel without training are strictly prohibited from operating the equipment. It is recommended to conduct a safety refresher training once every six months. The operation of multi-tower inter-connected systems involves multi-tower coordination, and operators also need to master the multi-tower scheduling logic and emergency handling procedures.
Before each daily startup, the operator must conduct a comprehensive safety check: verify the smooth operation of each tower's lifting mechanism, check for any looseness or wear on the chains; inspect the stability and integrity of each layer of pallets; ensure that the safety barriers and emergency stop buttons function properly; confirm that the power voltage is stable and the control system has no alarms; and check the normal communication connection between multiple towers. A no-load test run must be conducted before each shift.
When loading plates into storage, use hoisting equipment such as cranes or forklifts. It is strictly prohibited to manually handle heavy plates. The plates should be evenly placed on the pallets to prevent concentrated force on one side, which could cause the pallet to tilt or deform. Before storage, ensure that the surface of the plates is free of iron filings, welding slag, and other foreign substances. When storing in a multi-tower interconnected system, confirm the correct tower position before storage to avoid incorrect placement.
When the equipment is operating automatically, no one is allowed to enter the area where the equipment is moving. Physical isolation barriers or warning lines must be set up in the equipment operation area. The intelligent detection system monitors in real time and automatically alarms if there are any violations. When multiple towers are operating in parallel, attention should be paid to the coordination among the towers to avoid collisions. If abnormal noises, vibrations or smoke are detected, the emergency stop button should be pressed immediately.
In case of an emergency, immediately press the red emergency stop button. All movements of the equipment will stop immediately. The emergency stop cannot be released before the fault is resolved. If it is necessary to enter the equipment for maintenance, the main power supply of the equipment must be cut off and a sign "Under Maintenance, Do Not Close Switch" must be hung. In a multi-tower system, when a single tower fails, the faulty tower should be isolated promptly to ensure the normal operation of the other towers.
Before conducting any maintenance, cleaning, or repair work, the main power supply of the equipment must be cut off and a warning sign with a lock should be hung. Appropriate tools and safety protective equipment must be used during the maintenance. After replacing the chain or transmission components, a no-load test must be conducted before restarting the machine. The maintenance of multi-tower interconnected systems should be carried out one by one at each tower location to ensure no impact on other towers.

Customized Modular Sheet Metal Storage contains multiple sets of equipment such as material towers, lifting mechanisms, pallets, and control systems. Therefore, the packaging solution needs to be designed in modular form, taking into account both safety and economy:
The main frames of each tower, lifting columns, crossbeams and other large steel structure components are packaged in their bare form and fixed with steel frames. Each component is wrapped with stretch film and equipped with wooden corner guards to prevent bumps during transportation. Protective covers are used for key parts (guide rail surfaces, transmission interfaces, installation surfaces). For extremely long components (with a length exceeding 6 meters), special supports are used to hold them in place to prevent deformation during transportation.
The multi-layer drawer unit trays are packed in groups. Each group consists of 3 to 5 layers, which are secured with steel bands. Foam boards are placed between the layers to prevent collision. The surface of the trays is covered with waterproof fabric and bubble film to prevent scratches and moisture absorption.
Precision components such as chains, gears, servo motors, and sensors are placed in export-grade fumigation-free plywood crates, which are lined with waterproof bags and desiccants, and are fixed with shock-absorbing foam inside. The crates are sprayed with labels indicating "Fragile", "Upward", and "Damp-proof". Electrical components such as control cabinets, PLC modules, and touch screens are packed separately to ensure they are not affected by vibrations and impacts during transportation.
For export orders, the packaging complies with the ISPM 15 international phytosanitary measures standard (heat treatment or fumigation treatment), and a fumigation certificate can be provided. The wooden crates and steel frames are designed to meet the shock resistance requirements for sea transportation, and are filled with desiccants to prevent moisture. Additional anti-rust treatment or vacuum packaging can be added according to customer requirements. Due to the large size and numerous components of the multi-tower interlocking system, it is recommended to adopt a batch delivery plan to facilitate the customer's receipt according to the installation progress.
Domestic Delivery: Transported by flatbed trucks or low-bed trailers, the appropriate vehicle type is selected based on the equipment size. Provide logistics tracking number and full tracking service. For oversized equipment (length exceeding 12 meters or width exceeding 3 meters), assist in obtaining the oversize transportation permit.
International Delivery: Shipped from Qingdao Port or Shanghai Port, offer FOB or CIF quotations. Can assist customers in handling export customs declaration, shipping booking, insurance and other matters. Provide a complete set of export documents (commercial invoice, packing list, origin certificate, fumigation certificate, CE compliance declaration, etc.). For multi-tower and multi-row systems, it is recommended to ship in batches to facilitate customers' phased installation.
After receiving the goods, customers are requested to follow the steps below:
- Before signing for the delivery, check if the outer packaging is intact. If any damage is found, take photos immediately and contact us.
- After unpacking, count each tower component against the packing list and check if the equipment has suffered any transportation damage.
- If any missing parts or damages are found, notify us within 48 hours for claim purposes.
- Properly store all packaging materials until the equipment installation and debugging are completed.
- Customers are required to prepare their own installation tools (wrenches, level, hex key wrenches, multimeters, etc.) and lifting equipment (forklift or crane).
